Our Pastor

Early Years

Dr. Robert C. Wilson (Bob), was born in Cabarrus County, grew up in Midland, North Carolina, and graduated from Bethel High School in 1962. He was born again in 1969 and shortly thereafter was called of God to be a preacher, pastor, and teacher.

Career


Ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1977 in the PCA Church, Pastor Wilson served a small church in Mississippi while attending Seminary. Pastor Wilson then became a church planter and pastor of mid and large-size churches in the PCA before coming to Centerpoint.

In May, 2005, Pastor Wilson was received into First Presbytery of the ARP Church, and called as a Mission Developer (church planter) to serve in the Winston-Salem area with Centerpoint to establish an ARP Church. After 39 years of being saved, and 31 years preaching the Word of God, Pastor Wilson is here to help us grow spiritually and mature as disciples of Christ.

Family


Pastor Wilson has been married to Joyce Ann Gattis for 43 years. Joyce was born in Alamance County and grew up in Mebane, North Carolina. Joyce loves children and teaches first grade in Southwest Elementary School in Clemmons. Bob and Joyce have two children, Jack and Lynette. Both children are married; Jack to Jessica, and Lynette to Allen. Jack and Jess have two children, Harris and Anna Katherine. Allen and Lynette have one child, Grace Ann.

The Wilsons have lived in Wilson- Salem for two years and enjoy living once again in their home state of North Carolina.
