10 Basic
Beliefs
1. The Bible is the Word of God. It in infallible and
authoritative for what we believe and how we live.
2. There is only one
living and true God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. All people are sinners,
and totally unable to save themselves from God's wrath, punishment, and
judgement.
4. Salvation is by God's grace alone through faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ. He sovereignly chooses those He will save. His choice is based on
His love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness toward His chosen people. It is not
based on any human effort, merit, works, or foreseen faith.
5. The Lord Jesus
Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a
sinless life, died on the cross, shedding His blood to atone (make payment) for
the sins of His people. He arose from the dead on the third day to gain the
victory over sin, death, and Hell, for all who believe in Him.
6. The Holy
Spirit of God causes us to be born again. He regenerates our hearts, and then we
confess our sins, repent, and believe in Christ, trusting Him alone for our
forgiveness and life everlasting.
7. Christ will come again to judge all
mankind and to receive His people unto Himself.
8. Those who die in their
lost condition (not believing in Christ) will spend eternity in Hell.
9.
Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven.
10.
We are to live all aspects of our lives to the glory of God and under the
Lordship of Christ.
Centerpoint...the Lord Jesus Christ is at the center
of our lives. Is He at the center of yours?
